Vermont

For anyone looking to ski on the east coast, Vermont is hands down one of the best states for skiing. With tons of mountains in the area, Vermont offers outstanding skiing for all. Some of the most popular places include Killington, Mad River Glen, Stowe Mountain Resort, Sugarbush, among others. New Hampshire

Home to the White Mountains, New Hampshire offers some of the most rugged, scenic skiing in the eastern US.  With 48 peaks over 4000 feet in elevation, you will find no shortage of challenging beautiful hills to ski.  From Cannon Mountain, with an incredible 2,180 foot drop to Bretton Woods' awesome freestyle terrain parks, each ski resort in the Granite State has its own unique offerings.  Other favorites ski spots include Loon Mountain, Attitash Mountain Resort, and Crotched Mountain.

Massachusetts

Massachusetts is a hot spot for some of the best skiing in the northeast. New York

Utah

Utah is known for its challenging mountain terrain and some of the best snow in the world, making it a mecca for serious skiers.  With 10 of the state's 15 ski resorts located within an hour of the airport, Utah's ski resorts are also some of the easiest to access.   If you're looking for a skiier-only resort, check out Deer Valley or Alta.  Powder Mountain and Solitude Ski Resorts are the best bets for uncrowded slopes.  If terrain parks are your thing, check out Park City or Brighton.
