Select Rewards

Select Rewards Loyalty Marketing Program

The Select Rewards loyalty program was created to encourage guests to stay within the Select Registry brand and as a reward to guests for “staying Select.” It is one of the tools that members use to network with each other by referring guests within the network. It also will increase your own repeat guest ratio by rewarding your guests for returning and by utilization of the text marketing opportunities to remarket to former guests.

When a guest earns 12 points (one for each night’s stay) within a two-year period, they receive a $100 Reward that is valid for two years and can be used at any Select Registry member property. Guests also benefit from the program by being eligible to win monthly and quarterly gift certificate giveaways. If a guest only stays one night, they could still receive a $100 or $500 reward!

Guest loyalty is important for the success of your business, below are links to documents and a video with valuable information, instructions and strategies to build your guest database.

  • Invite guests to join the program by signing up at the touch-screen kiosk provided by Select Registry. It takes less than 20 seconds to enroll.
  • When a guest submits a stay at the kiosk at your property, you will receive an email the following morning to approve all pending stays. Verify this information with your reservation system and approve the stay if it is correct. If it is not correct, please correct the number of nights and then approve. If you change the number of nights or deny the request, the guest will receive an email notifying them of such and encouraging them to contact Select Registry with questions.
  • Guests can redeem $100 Select Rewards Certificates toward stays or any other product or service offered.
  • Select Registry will reimburse you for the full $100.

Member Resources is now available on an App!

To make Member Resources easier and more convenient to access, it is now available on an APP! Just click the link below from your phone or personal device and follow the prompts to add the APP icon to your Home screen. For security reasons, there are a few links in the app that will still require login to the Select Registry website. We recommend that you keep your Select Registry Innkeeper login in a convenient location so that you can access those links from the app. Member Resources will still be available on the website for access from your desktop as well. If you have any questions or need assistance in pinning the APP to your phone, email Darlene.

Digital Guestbook App

As a benefit of membership, your property has access to having its own Digital Guest Welcome Book App. It is an easy to use, updatable web app that will provide your guests with everything they need to know about their stay, all in one place, on their own personal device, eliminating the need for in room printed guest information books. It’s a win – win! You can change or add to your guest book information in minutes without having to reprint pages and replace them in every room and your guests will love having access to your guest book in advance of their stay to know what to expect and plan their stay using your in-app concierge services! If you were a member of Select Registry prior to May of 2020, there is already a template created for your property. Please contact darlene@selectregistry.com to obtain the username and password.

If your Select Registry membership began after May of 2020, to get started with your free app, go to: https://touchstay.com/select/. If you select the DIY option, before starting to populate the information, we recommend you go through the training modules in their Knowledge Base. If you need additional assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact darlene@selectregistry.com or the staff at Touch Stay. Many Select Registry members have already populated their apps and are using them successfully for their guests.

Member to Member Discount Program

Member to Member Courtesy Discount

Extending a discount to other Select Registry member owners and innkeepers is a professional courtesy that is addressed in the Membership Agreement in the Networking section as follows:

Members agree to extend a recommended 50% professional courtesy discount (lodging only) to other visiting members and/or staff, pending availability and consideration for peak times.

We recommend that you put a plan in place for the member to member discount and advise your staff of what to extend to other members when they receive a request.

You can set up any system that you would like for this, below is an example of how members participate:

1) 50% off during non-peak season

2) 50% off weekdays and 25% off weekends during shoulder seasons

3) No discount during peak season or just a weeknight discount if you have availability

Travel Agency Partners

Ensemble Travel Group

Select Registry is the newest specialty supplier for Ensemble Travel Group, a member-owned and member-run organization of approximately 850 top-tier, independent travel agencies in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Ensemble delivers high-volume sales to the world’s leading providers of travel, including British Airways, Delta Vacations, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Royal Caribbean International, Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts, Avis and Hyatt. Select Registry will be Ensemble’s first and only independent lodging organization.

Through our partnership with Ensemble Travel Group, our members have the opportunity to be marketed to hundreds of travel agents and their clients resulting in exposure of the Select Registry experience to a larger section of the travel community – for increased bookings!

How The Program Works:
  • A Select Registry Concierge Representative and will be personally reaching out to you for bookings – so you do not have to communicate with each different agent.
  • An Ensemble Agent will contact Select Registry with a booking request.
  • Select Registry will contact the particular members for a booking confirmation.
  • Members are free to accept or reject the confirmation as needed. However, we ask that you reply within 24 hours so that we may move on to the next interested member if you cannot accommodate the booking.
  • All payment schedules and cancellation policies for each member will be accepted upon confirmation. Please be sure to include or attach this information with your confirmation so it may be passed along to the agent.
  • Payment information (credit card, etc) will be passed along to the member upon confirmation.
  • Our partnership with Ensemble Travel Group requires a 12% commission on bookings. Select Registry will invoice members the 12% commission fee within 10 business days of check out for each confirmed booking.
  • Commission may be paid by check or ACH.

Vacations To America (UK)

Vacations to America has worked with Select Registry for many years, promoting member properties to travelers from all over the UK.

How The Partnership Works:
  • Vacations to America will contact the inn directly to make the reservation.
  • The terms are: 15% commission, with the net amount for the reservation (room rate less the 15%) paid in full by check prior to arrival; no deposits and no credit cards.
  • Vacation to America agrees to abide by all cancellation policies of the individual member property.

FDM Travel (Denmark & Norway)

FDM markets vacations to Select Registry properties in both Denmark and Norway. Contact: Birgitte Vraadal – BIV@fdm-travel.dk

How The Partnership Works:
  • FDM Travel will send you an email containing a booking request. Each booking request will include the name of the traveler, number of adults/children, arrival date, departure date, name/type of room, plus any special requests
  • You must confirm the request, including the room rate and the total net amount due (after deducting the commission amount and adding taxes). It’s very important that you respond quickly to the FDM request, as time zone and language differences add a level of complexity to the transaction.
  • A FDM trip can often include 4 or 5 Select Registry inns, so when one member is delayed in responding to the request, the entire itinerary can be delayed.
  • FDM Travel will receive a 15% commission for the booking.
  • The traveler will pay for the room using an FDM Travel credit card. The travel card number will be provided in the Standard Booking Form. Please debit the net amount (total room rate less 15% commission).
  • FDM Travel will pay any cancellation charges in accordance with your normal cancellation policy.

Inn Scene Magazine

For the last 30 years, Select Registry has published a book that features a listing all of our esteemed properties. Millions of consumers have counted on this publication to decide where to stay when traveling.

In 2020 the guidebook was upgraded to a full length, upscale Travel and Lifestyle Magazine and will be published twice a year moving forward. Inn Scene magazine contains engaging editorial stories along with a listing section where all members are featured. Each member property is distributed a supply of the magazine to present as gifts to their guests!

Members are encouraged to provide story ideas for consideration by Inn Scene’s editorial staff. Over a series of editions, all members will be featured in an editorial department. This publication is one of the distinguishing marketing tools of the Select Registry brand that Select Guests look forward to receiving when they visit one of our member properties! The magazine lets guests know that your property is part of an exceptional collection of properties chosen because they deliver quality experiences only a select few independent properties can attain. It is something guests can take home and use time and time again as they plan future travel – and remember fondly the unique experiences they shared with each member property.

How to use the Select Registry Inn Scene Magazine

A magazine should be handed to each new guest at check-in or check-out. Alternatively,

1) Guests can be directed to the Select Rewards Kiosk that has a QR code linked to the free digital flipbook version of the magazine

2) Guests can access the free digital flipbook version on the “Select” tab on your Digital Guest Book App that is provided to you through the Select Registry partnership with Touch Stay.

3) There is a “Magazine” link on the menu bar on the Home page of the Select Registry website to access the free digital flipbook version.

The magazine can also be used to introduce guests to the Select Rewards loyalty program. Distribution of the Select Registry Inn Scene magazine to each guest is part of the Select Registry Membership Agreement and is evaluated through Select Registry’s Quality Assurance program.

We continue to build a database of loyalty travelers who have opted to receive text messages from Select Registry and its members. We appreciate your assistance in growing the number of Rewards travelers to the benefit of all members!

As a benefit included in membership, you have the opportunity to send text messages to all guests who signed up or logged nights at your property. This is a great way to connect with previous guests and promote repeat stays! It’s also one more reason to make sure that you encourage all of your guests (whether they are familiar with Select Registry or not) to join your Select Rewards Guest Loyalty program. Data from members that have participated in the program are showing great results and reservations!

During a one hour meeting with you and/or your staff, Darlene will review all of the benefits now included in your membership and will help you get set up to fully utilize them. She will also brainstorm with you how to grow your Select Rewards database so that you can use it to your property’s advantage and increase ROI. Bank Account Updates

Upwards of $400,000 of Select Registry gift certificates are sold annually, resulting in additional bookings at your property. These certificates may be used by guests for overnight stays, meals, spa services and more. Select Registry will reimburse you 100% of the total amount that is applied to the guest bill.

Please Read Below Before Processing Gift Certificate Redemptions:
  • Please Verify that the guest has a “Gift Certificate” to redeem rather than a “$100 Select Reward” earned through stays in the Rewards program. If the guest has earned a $100 Select Reward, they will redeem it on your Rewards Kiosk. They will put in their cell phone number on the kiosk and will have the option to “Redeem” the reward at your property. When they choose to redeem it, they will receive a text message to show the innkeeper for verification. You will take $100 off of the guest’s bill. The reimbursement to the property is automatic when the guest redeems the reward on the kiosk. No further action is needed on your part. You automatically will receive a redemption deposit of the full $100 in your bank account within 7 to 10 days.
  • If the guest does have a Gift Certificate that was purchased for them or by them, verify the amount or expiration date of a Gift Certificate by going to your profile page and clicking on “Verify Gift Certificate”
  • Gift certificates should not be used as deposits.
