I had a wonderful time at the Carter House. I stayed on the 3rd floor in a spacious King-size suite. The staff are kind, friendly and informed. I felt they took an extra step in making me feel welcomed and special. I return every summer.

Lovely and comfy rooms, welcoming staff. The breakfast is exceptional - like all of the other reviews have said. We also appreciated the complimentary cocktail and yummy cookies each afternoon, sitting by the fire in the lobby. It's in Old Town, so you'll run into some folks down on their luck, (but no one bothered us)....
