What an adorable, little historical hotel! This hotel is tucked in the earth alongside a gorgeous, multilevel waterfall that is the star of the show. Ledges Hotel is one of the most unique places I’ve ever stayed!
My room was two stories, and the whole hotel is built into an old 1890s glass factory, which gives it so much character. Food was all right but I didn't go for the food; I went to enjoy a nice relaxing hotel with nice views. Staff was very friendly.

My husband planned a short weekend retreat for me as a Mother's Day trip and he couldn't have done better! He knows my love for nature and this hotel sits on the bank of a waterfall! We could see and hear the roar all day from our room. We were told we came at a great time as it had rained a lot prior to our stay, so the damn was open at Lake Wallenpaupack, and the falls were flowing so fast and powerfully!
The hotel has a beautiful common room with board games and a beverage/snack area that is open to visitors and guests 24 hours a day. The room leads to a giant deck with outdoor seating where you can sit and enjoy the falls and beautiful landscaping any time of day. Below the hotel sits a cozy restaurant/bar called Glass that is open to visitors and guests, and they offer a free cocktail during the afternoon if you are staying at the hotel. The menu is contemporary, and I recommend the cheese board. My husband had one set up in our room with a bottle of Chardonnay to accompany it. The hotel was clean, and the staff are friendly and offer suggestions on things to see and do in the area. They also provide a $28 credit each day of you stay to enjoy breakfast at either Cacoon (located near the property) or Settlers Inn a few minutes away.
The room was comfy with a small sitting area and queen size bed. The shower had a rainfall shower head, but it took quite a few minutes for the water to heat up. The small issues I had were that there wasn't a hair dryer and no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Because we were on the first floor directly above the kitchen of the Glass restaurant below, we could hear all the dishes being moved around after closing and the room smelled of charred hamburgers all night because the kitchen exhaust somehow found its way up into our room. Besides these few small things, our stay was wonderful and I'd love to return for another stay soon.
